Meet KAIJU...
...a progressive metal band hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, captivating their audience with a unique sound and progressive approach to metal music. With intricate riffs and complex polyrhythms, accompanied by melodic and catchy choruses, the quartet delivers a dynamic and ever-evolving sound that is both engaging and thought-provoking, encouraging listeners to explore new dimensions of sound and emotion. They present their album âK2â released in September 2023 through Prime Collective.
âK2 is a concept album that revolves around the difficulties and rewards everyone experiences through their lives. Life is not a straight road - sometimes you have to press hard to get uphill while other times you roll downwards, enjoying the ride.
The K2 mountain is one of the most dangerous mountains to climb, but also one of the most beautiful. For us, the mountain not only represents the immensely physical feat, but symbolizes the spiritual mountain inside us all that no one can avoid trying to scale a few times, and for some many times, throughout their lives.", the band muses.
Since forming in 2014, KAIJU has released the debut album âRise to Novaâ (2017) and are now ready to follow-up with the sophomore full-length album âK2â, showcasing a heavier and tighter sound compared to their first release. âK2â has been produced by Nicklas Sonne (Defecto, Between Oceans).
